What is the difference between anticipation and hope? Really I would like to know, according to certain thesaurus they are synonyms, though broadly the former is used or meant as expectation while the latter is broadly taken as a theological virtue.
There is a theory called Zeigarnik effect, which states that we have a tendency to remember more vividly an uncompleted task rather than a completed one. The high point of our time in life is past while anticipating rather than living the moment. Is that true? I remember my dad saying that as long as you have not bought any thing every thing in the shop is yours but then he is a man who probably believes in austerity is the best policy.
We are supposed to be focused to the goal or destination and yet enjoy the journey. I find that a very difficult task to perform, especially now when short-term goals have become much more significant than the long term ones and the bird's eye view is only observed by our satellites.
If anticipation is far more exciting than realization then why do we seek the climax of desires?
Personally I find it difficult to cope with either hope or anticipation cause I feel hope and despair walk hand in hand. And often with anticipation you also have to gulp down disappoinments that drags on with the realization of it.No it does not stop me from doing either cause hope still is the only thing that makes you stick out here for another day.

Is foreplay always better than climax?
